Dr. Julian Agyeman, a respected environmentalist, has been invited to address the community on “just” sustainability. He is professor and chair of the Department of Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning at Tufts University in Boston.
Dr. Agyeman’s expertise lies in the relations between humans and the environment, whether mediated by institutions or social movement organizations, and the effects of this on public policy and planning processes and outcomes, particularly in relation to notions of justice and equality.
The entire student body, faculty and staff are invited and strongly encouraged to participate in a show of support for our students as we embark on this educational journey.
Following the Academic Convocation, a BBQ feast will be held in the James W. O’Brien Plaza (adjacent to the Sakowich Campus Center)
