Dr. Elaine Ward, Assistant Professor, School of Education & Social Policy

Dr. Elaine Ward, an assistant professor in the School of Education & Social Policy, was chosen to serve as the Program Chair for the 2013 Annual Lynton Colloquium on the Scholarship of Engagement: The Engaged Scholar and the Engaged Campus.

Dr. Ward’s theory of Community Engaged Scholarly Identity (CESI) provides the theoretical framework for the panel presentations and her new research with colleagues on public narratives and the voices of the next generation of engagement frames the dialogue with graduate students attending the Colloquium. Fourteen Merrimack Higher Ed and Community Engagement Fellows attended the event thanks to sponsorship from the Center for Engaged Democracy and the Higher Education Program.
