Don’t miss the Women’s Week book discussion on Orange is the New Black scheduled for today, 3/4/14, at 3:30pm in the 1st floor conference room.

Participants will get the chance to meet the author Piper Kerman when she comes to campus on Wednesday March 26th.

    The Multi-Purpose Room in the Sakowich Campus Center was packed as students filed in to hear Piper Kerman speak on “Women, Justice, and Prison Reform” recently.  Kerman is the author of the best-selling memoir “Orange is the New Black: My Year in a Women’s Prison” which was adapted for the popular Netflix series of the same name.  The event was sponsored by the Women’s Gender Studies Department in collaboration with numerous departments on campus.

    On March 26, Piper Kerman, author of the best-selling memoir Orange is the New Black will host a Q&A session at 3:30pm in the Writers House, followed by a 7:00pm lecture on “Women, Justice, and Prison Reform.”
