Accomplished Entrepreneur Johnny Cupcakes Gives Food for Thought at Merrimack Lecture
Johnny Earle was a young man with a creative idea. At age 19, he was working at a record company where he was ordering t-shirts and playfully printed a t-shirt with one of his own silly nicknames, “Johnny Cupcakes.” Soon people started asking how they could purchase their own “Johnny Cupcakes” t-shirt and Johnny saw the possibilities to start his own unique business endeavor. Now, he has evolved “Johnny Cupcakes” into a very successful brand, desired by thousands of people from around the world.
Johnny is coming to Merrimack to present his take on what entrepreneurial skills are needed to develop a creative business with limited start-up finances. He will also highlight the importance and power of small details in becoming successful.
Johnny has been recognized for his business strategies and has been named America’s #1 Young Entrepreneur by BusinessWeek; placed #237 in Inc. Magazine’s top 500 fastest growing independent businesses; and The Boston Globe recently named Johnny as one of the 30 most innovative businessmen in Massachusetts.
