Girard School Student, Patrick Frazier ’16, Recognized by Financial Executives International
The Boston chapter of Financial Executives International (FEI) – an organization of senior-level finance executives – honored accounting & finance junior Patrick Frazier at their annual academic awards ceremony on Wednesday, April 15th, 2015.
Frazier ’16, was selected as a scholarship recipient, an honor given to recognize students on the basis of academic performance, business experience, extracurricular activities, and leadership. Finance professor and faculty sponsor Mary Papazian says, “Patrick takes an active role in many student organizations while being one of the hardest-working and passionate students in accounting and finance.”
Frazier, along with students from Babson, Bentley, Boston College, Holy Cross, Northeastern University, and other Boston-area schools, received his award at a reception and dinner held at the Newton Marriott Hotel. The keynote speaker for the evening was Dr. Zorica Pantić, the first female president of Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Professor Papazian was very impressed with the accomplishments of both Dr. Pantić and the students being honored. “Dr. Pantić was very dynamic and has succeeded in implementing a number of exciting initiatives during her time at Wentworth Institute of Technology. And, the students were incredibly talented and accomplished at such a young age. I was proud to see Patrick included among these high-achieving students,” she said.
