In their recent trip to the communities of the Central Plateau in Haiti, Kevin Melanson and Mollie Fitzgerald trained Community Healthcare workers to use stretches to help their patients with back pain.

Currently, Haitians who suffer a work related injury don’t have access to this type of health care and risk losing their livelihood.

The vision of Merrimack College Athletic Training in Haiti is to empower rural Haitian health care workers in the areas of prevention, evaluation, treatment, and rehabilitation of activity-related injuries through authentic partnerships with Project Medishare and the communities of the Central Plateau in Haiti.
