Professor Wynn Chairs a Panel on the Flipped Classroom
Associate Professor Nancy Wynn is traveling to Kansas City April 6th to 8th to attend the FATE Conference (Foundations in Art: Theory and Education). She is Chair of the panel “Using ‘The Flip’: Why Your Students Want to Hear from You Rather than YouTube!” This panel will present papers on ways to integrate technology to allow students to learn, engage and get feedback quickly outside of class. Students then come to class with questions and utilize what they learned outside of class while working on projects in class.
Other panelists are:
William Carpenter from Indiana Wesleyan University “Flipping the Art Appreciation Classroom on its Textbook”
Rachel Hayes from Concordia University “Short on Time: Maximizing Intro to Art with Flipped Learning”
Matthew Winkler from Winona State University and St. Mary’s University of Minnesota “Flipped Drawing: Basic Skill Tutorials in Foundation-level Drawing”
Kevin Salemme is keeping it surreal with another great poster he created promoting the fall season of performances by Merrimack’s department of Visual & Performing Arts.
