For the 10th consecutive year, the Merrimack College Police Department is hosting Cops on Bikes With Education for Bicyclists (COBWEB), a course that teaches law-enforcement officials and hospital-security officers how to effectively patrol on bikes. Lt. Paul Timmins (standing), a detective with the Cambridge, Massachusetts, police department, serves as COBWEB’s program director, and Sgt. Scott Stanton (red helmet), of the Dartmouth, Massachusetts, police, is the course instructor. Merrimack officers Israel Rivera and Jonathan McDonald are among the participants this year.
