On Thursday, September 20th The Girard School of Business and the O’Brien Center for Career Development hosted their 3rd annual Finance Networking Brunch. Ten Alumni and an estimated 60 Finance students filled the brand new Executive Suite in Crowe Hall for two hours of great conversation.  The speed networking format provided students a chance to interact and ask questions of multiple alumni who are currently working in the field.

Alumni included:
Jim Scammon ’83, CFO, Bose Corporation
Mark Leonard, P’16, SVP & GM, Fidelity Investments
Karleen Oberton ’91, Chief Accounting Office, Hologic, Inc.
Karen Cambray ’88, CFO and Trustee

“It’s so exciting to kick-off our series of industry-specific networking lunches with our Finance Networking event in our new building, Crowe Hall.  These events are great opportunities for our students to network with our alums and engage in conversations to gain an insider’s view of the industry.” - said Julie Fitzmaurice, Ph.D., Interim Dean, Girard School of Business

Looking ahead, the Accounting Networking Breakfast will take place on Tuesday, September 26th bringing together Accounting students and several alumni from the area. For more information about these events and more, click here.
