Welcome Back!
At the residence project, the roofing and siding contractors began their work this week on building 1B. They started by shoveling off the plywood roof. Rough piping continued in building 1B by the sprinkler and plumbing contractors while the electrical contractor installed his boxes for lights, switches and receptacles. We had visitors to the site on Thursday, led by Dr Hopey, to review the work in progress. Rough framing and plumbing continued in building 1C while the second floor joists were installed on building 2. The wood panels for building 1A are due to arrive next week. Site work was finally able to begin on the final building, and its concrete foundation will begin taking shape next week. Drainage work continued in front of Hamel Health Center this week while another crew worked on drainage by the loading dock.

Work also progressed at the athletic center this week. Cullen Ave is now open (one way) and ready for classes to begin. The site contractor is working along the ball fields to connect the new drainage system while also preparing the subgrade for the ice rink. The bock walls surrounding the refrigeration and zamboni room were completed and the room is now ready for its concrete slab on grade to be placed. This room also contains the ice melt pit for the zamboni to off load. The roofing contractor began installing the rubber roof system over the retail and lobby area at the font of the rink this week as well. The steel erectors are nearing the end of their tenure on the project and installed the roof joists and decking on the weight training/sports med addition.
