What’s New In IT?

August 21, 2013
Welcome new and returning students!

We hope you enjoyed the Summer break. Here is what’s new in Information Technology:

Telephone Service Change: In talking with students and working with SGA, we’ve learned that landlines aren’t being used as we rely on our mobile devices. In the New Resident Hall, there will only be landline phones available in community rooms; in the Townhouses, a wall phone has been added to each common area for local area and on-campus calls.

In response to your requests, the ITS team has been busy enhancing technology services across campus.

  • Students with AT&T mobile phone service are eligible for discounts on their monthly bill

  • The printing quota has been upgraded from 750 to 1,000 pages per academic year

  • We’ve enhanced the wireless coverage in Ash and Monican

  • The bandwidth has been increased by 66%

Reminder: In order to maintain the most reliable wireless network, please leave personal wireless access points, routers and printers at home.

Here is a link for Student resources for technology and FAQ’s.

We are here to help.
