Why did you choose to pursue a Masters degree at Merrimack?
I chose Merrimack College to pursue the MSM because I wanted to know more about management practices. I was an Organizational Leadership major when I was in undergrad and I have always wanted to know more about how to use leadership and management practices to lead a team.
How would you describe your academic experience in the MSM at Merrimack?
I have really learned a lot at Merrimack and my experience here has been great. Merrimack has small class sizes, which I think is one of the most efficient ways to teach students. It makes sure that all students are on track with the direction of the course and encourages discussion and learning among classmates.
What do you value most about a Merrimack graduate education?
The most thing I value most is the opportunity to use and develop teamwork skills. At Merrimack, we have a lot of opportunities to work with others -- to write a paper or do a presentation. This has really helped me to improve my communication skills and understand how to organize group work to get it done together.
What advice do you have for other students considering Merrimack's Masters program?
The Merrimack professors are very helpful – they will always answer your questions – so do not hesitate to ask questions if you don’t understand something during class. Communication is key to success, especially when facing teamwork projects. Good communication will help your team to achieve your goals.
