Joseph Chiarelli, Ph.D.
Chemistry and Biochemistry
While studying at Tufts University, Joseph Chiarelli investigated various systems using multidimensional fluorescence and PARallel FACtor analysis (PARAFAC). He has worked
on several projects focused on polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) and various commercial
and environmental samples, one of which involves investigating Host-Guest interactions between cyclodextrines and various PAH’s such as naphthalene and anthracene. Chiarelli previously taught physical and general chemistry at Wheaton College as a visiting lecturer in chemistry.
