Sara Egan

Lecturer in Studio Art

Visual & Performing Arts

Sara Egan’s work is grounded in Modernism with an emphasis on balance and bold color. Educated at the University of Pennsylvania (MFA) and at the Bellas Artes in Madrid, Spain, Ms. Egan began her art career working in the theater and on large-scale installation projects. Her paintings, usually created in a series, are based on conceptual ideas drawn from literature and poetry. Currently, she is looking at complex systems and their underlying organizing principles. Ms. Egan’s large-scale work can be seen throughout Boston and her paintings have been exhibited both in New York and France.
