Tim LeBel is an alumni of Merrimack’s Higher Education graduate program and serves as the school’s coordinator for new teacher support.
In this new role, LeBel is responsible for program oversight, outreach, and growth for the grant-funded Merrimack Institute for New Teacher Support (MINTS). He also assists with the academic advising process within the School of Education and Social Policy, works with the ‘Global Leadership in Action’ living-learning community and teaches their FYE course, and assists with several related research projects.
In addition, he contributes to the undergraduate education and online competency-based M.Ed. programs as a teaching assistant; he has experience with both on-ground and online class formats.
LeBel is currently working to grow the MINTS as a resource and model for new teachers and recent graduates in the education field to receive professional development, support, and mentoring opportunities to better prepare and transition early educators in an effort to improve retention.
