Justin Murray

Civil Engineering

 Dr. Murray earned a Ph.D. in civil engineering from Northeastern University and a bachelor’s in civil engineering from Merrimack College. He has been a teaching assistant and graduate research assistant at Northeastern and a Math Center master tutor at Merrimack, and is an engineer-in-training in Massachusetts. He has coauthored articles in the Journal of Structural Engineering, Earthquake Engineering and Structural Dynamics, and Engineering Structures, and presented at several conferences. His research interests are collapse-resistance of reinforced concrete structures, hybrid simulation, nonlinear structural modeling and large-scale experimentation; he has performed large-scale hybrid simulations involving non-ductile frame systems at the University of Illinois-Urbana Champaign, as part of the Network for Earthquake Engineering Simulation.
