Rohit Vangala has been fascinated with automobiles since high school, and knew from a very young age he wanted to contribute to their construction. After nearly five years of experience in the automotive industry as a design and project engineer, Rohit knew a degree in mechanical engineering would help to advance his career.
Rohit credits the flexible coursework and schedule as reasons why he chose Merrimack, since he was able to graduate after two full semesters. He was able to choose classes specific to his needs as an engineer and to help develop his skill set.
Rohit also praises his positive experience with classmates and professors as major highlights of the program. “Merrimack is a relatively small college, which gave me an opportunity to connect and discuss with my professors. The professors were friendly. I got to discuss many ideas with other students, and most importantly, earning my master’s degree helped to further my career as an engineer.”
Since his graduation in May 2016, Rohit has been employed as an engineer with Goken America LLC supporting Honda R&D of Americas.
