Kathryn joined Merrimack College as a Professor of Practice and Program Specialist in 2016. Kathryn has a wide range of practical experiences in the field of education as a Special Education Teacher and Elementary Education Teacher. Kathryn has taught for over a decade in many different classroom designs- Inclusion (K-5), Substantially Separate Special Education Classroom (K-2), Resource Room (1-8), Grade 1 and Kindergarten.
Kathryn’s Massachusetts licensures include Special Education Administrator, Principal/Assistant Principal, Moderate Disabilities Teacher and Elementary Education Teacher. After over 12 years teaching in Massachusetts public schools, Kathryn transitioned her career to begin teaching at the college level. Her focus is on teacher development and special education research. Kathryn was an adjunct professor and a supervisor of student teachers at Southern New Hampshire University before coming to Merrimack.
Kathryn is an alumnus of Merrimack College and played on the Women’s Soccer Team.
