Students in Dr. Ralph Pass’ astronomy class headed into Boston this past weekend to watch an Omni IMAX show on “The Last Reef” and a 3D show on “Space Junk”; both movies relate back to their astronomy studies of the Earth, the other planets, and the universe as a whole. In addition, students participated in a museum-wide scavenger hunt to encourage exploration of the museum.

Merrimack students played different basketball activities with young teens with disabilities. Each child received a prize including a Celtics jersey and Fuddruckers and Orange Leaf gift cards.

The Merrimack College Math Team recently ran the Sixth Annual E+(MC)^2, Excitement - Merrimack College Math Contest. Eight four-person teams competed in the one-hour event to solve a set of ten math problems that had been created by the members of the math team. Four teams competed in the college division and four in the high school division. In both divisions, the exciting contest ended in a tie, with the winner being the first team to solve the tiebreaker question.
