A winning tradition of student success
Featuring 22 intercollegiate programs, including the Division I men’s hockey team, Merrimack has over 400 student-athletes with a department grade-point-average of 3.09, the highest in the last six years and rising!
In 2011-12, Merrimack qualified for three NCAA Tournaments and won two Northeast-10 Championships, headlined by the field hockey team which set a school record with 17 wins, while winning its first-ever Northeast-10 Championship and advancing to its first-ever Final Four. The hockey program was ranked number one in the country in November for the first time in school history and was ranked nationally throughout the entire season for the first time ever. Merrimack had 12 Athletic All-Americans and ten Academic All-Americans, while Shawn Loiseau became the first player in school history to sign a NFL contract after inking a deal with Houston.
Merrimack student-athletes come from over 20 states and seven countries.
