No rest for the weary…
Construction continues through the holidays at Merrimack College. At the ice rink site work continues with underground plumbing going in the ground at the sports medicine area to prepare for steel erection next week. Cullen Ave work continues and four trees were taken down along the ball fields on Friday so new drainage can be run. The rink continues to be sheathed and temporary enclosures are being put up so heat can be turned on. An enclosure and slab preparation is being done on the second floor so the new box seats can be built for the existing rink.
At the Residence project, the roof of building 1B is having plywood applied as the plumbers install piping for the bathrooms inside. The 3rd floor walls were delivered Friday for building 1C and walls for building 2 will be laid out next week. The slab placement for building 1A is scheduled for next week so the ground will be heated over the weekend to keep ice and snow from building up on the blankets that cover it.
