Dr. Heather Maietta is the Director of O’Brien Center for Student Success. Prior to joining Merrimack, Dr. Maietta was the Director of Career Services/Assistant Director of the Professional Development Seminars Program and adjunct faculty at Nichols College. While at Nichols, she managed a groundbreaking four year, credit bearing, career development program for undergraduates.
Dr. Maietta’s research interests include first generation college seniors; the impact of career development on college retention; and the value of career planning courses for undergraduates. In 2011, she was named the National Association of Colleges and Employers/Spelman & Johnson Rising Star. Heather received her BS from Michigan State University; MS from James Madison University; and Doctorate of Higher Education Administration from Central Michigan University.
