Alumni
The O’Brien Center for Student Success is available to work with alumni whether you are just starting your career, assessing your current situation, or if you are interested in assisting Merrimack students with their career plans.
Career Coaching: For young alumni 0-5 years out, the O’Brien Center staff are available by appointment to meet with you via telephone, or in person to help you refine your job and career search. Email us at careerservices@merrimack.edu for an appointment or call 978-837-5480.
If you graduated more than five years ago, the O’Brien Center can offer you a list of career resources for your search.
Alumni Employer Recruiting
If you can offer a co-op, internship or have a full time position for a Merrimack student please email us at careerservices@merrimack.edu with information about the position.
Volunteer Opportunities: The O’Brien Center provides alumni with a variety of ways to give back to the Merrimack community. We welcome Alumni from all years to volunteer their time and expertise through a number of our programs. Please read the program descriptions below and let us know what interests you by emailing the office.
Career Panels: The O’Brien Center and Academic Departments are always looking for alumni to come back to campus to share their stories, talk about career paths, graduate school and the world of work. Whether you studied history, or philosophy, French or international business current students are always interested in hearing what you are doing and how you got where you are.
Mock Interview Nights: Several times during the year the O’Brien Center for Student Success offers students the opportunity to practice their interviewing skills. Alumni are invited to participate along with some of our active employers to meet with students and conduct mock interviews. This is a one night commitment.
Career Shadow Program: The Career Shadow program is an opportunity for students to spend a full or half day at an employer’s job site or office. This is a great way for students to see what a ‘typical day is like” and to observe the work environment of a particular industry. The program takes place during winter break when students are home for the holidays.
