Merrimack College’s annual Spring Career Fair took place this year on March 25 where the O’Brien Center for Student Success welcomed 92 employers, all recruiting for different internship, co-op, or full-time positions. This year’s Career Fair put students in touch with recruiters representing companies from various industries including communications, education, engineering, non-profit and the sciences.  Companies participating in this years fair included the likes of W.B. Mason, CDM Smith, Prudential, The Advocator Group, and Staples.

Employers in attendance were well recognized amongst students with 14% of the companies on the 2014 Fortune 500 Companies list and 37% listed on the  2015 Boston Business Journal Largest Massachusetts Companies. Following the fair, many of the companies returned to campus to interview with qualified students for summer internships, co-ops, and full-time employment opportunities. Overall, company representatives were impressed with the talented students they interacted with. A representative from WB Mason shared “I’m very very impressed with the quality of students Merrimack is producing.”

Close to 400 Merrimack students came out to network with company representatives and learn more about the employment opportunities available. Prior to the Fair, students took advantage of the opportunity to have their resume reviewed, meet with their Career Advisor, and conduct company research to ensure they were prepared to network with employers. Over a quarter of students stated they plan to apply for a job or internship that they learned about at the Career Fair.

A special thanks to all faculty, staff, and student volunteers who gave their time to ensure the fair was a success.
