Job Description:
Referees will officiate Merrimack Intramural Sports. He/she will maintain control of games in regards to execution of a sport and to behavior of student participants. The Intramural Referee is the official college authority during the games that he/she is officiating.  This position is also responsible for promoting good sportsmanship.
1) To officiate intramural games and tournaments.
2) Maintain control of student participant behavior.
3) To enforce all Merrimack Intramural policies and sport rules during competition. 
4) To ensure no alcohol consumption is taking place during the game by participants or spectators.
5) To act as a liaison to police services in case of injury by a participant.
6) To complete an injury report for anyone injured during intramurals.
7) To report scores of contests to Intramural Commissioner.
8) To attend all training sessions and meetings.
9) Perform other duties assigned by the Assistant Director of Student Involvement for Intramurals and Recreation.
Scorekeepers will assist in making sure the games run smoothly.  They will hold the responsibility of collecting student ID’s, checking players in, and keeping an accurate score. 
Qualifications:
-High level of responsibility.
-Conflict mediation and resolution skills.
-Extensive knowledge of the rules and strategies of the sport they are officiating.
-Good Organizational skills.
-Willingness to represent the Intramurals program in a positive
