Role of the Mentee

  • Have an open mind to accept suggestions on ways to benefit from the mentor’s professional experience
  • Be open to discussion about your goals, strengths, hopes, dreams and ambitions
  • Be open to networking opportunities that may be helpful in the future
  • Follow through on all commitments made particularly with respect to the scheduling and length of the mentoring session
  • Suggest topics to be discussed

Expectations of the Mentee

  • Take the initiative to make things happen
  • Actively listen and contribute to the conversation
  • Prepare in advance for all interactions with you mentor
  • Arrive promptly - even a few minutes early to all appointments
  • Dress appropriately

How to Apply

Applications for the 2013-2014 Professional Mentor Exchange are due September 20, 2013

Mentees

  • Must be a G1 student and/or a junior Merrimack Student
  • Mentees fill out the Mentee Application 
  • When you submit your paperwork, you will be asked to schedule an interview to discuss personal goals and interests in the program
