Types of on-campus recruiting
Employers will often want to meet potential candidates in person at Career Fairs or Networking Events. Please be sure to learn about the companies before visiting with them at these events. Employers appreciate when students are prepared and this will also show your level of interest in them as a potential place of employment. On-Campus Interviews are a key hiring source for many major employers. The program is designed to provide representatives from various organizations a venue to interview current Merrimack College students for positions that begin after graduation. Employers participate in on-campus recruiting during the fall and spring semesters. Employers come directly to campus to conduct interviews with qualified students. To participate, you must apply for interviews using your Advantage account. Most resume deadlines are 2-3 weeks before the interview, so it is recommended you begin your search for opportunities early in the semester.
Employers collect resumes in Advantage for full-time and internship positions. Interviews are scheduled by the employer and held either on campus or at the employer’s site.
