Institutional Research

Institutional Research

Institutional research encompasses a wide range of activities designed to enhance decision-making, respond to the external demands placed upon the College, and provide data and relevant information to inform institutional planning and budgeting. Overall, institutional research provides a  deeper understanding of the institution.

Responsibilities of the institutional research area include:

Data Management

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness is responsible for collecting data, ensuring data consistency and integrity across the institution, maintaining census files and creating standard reports.

Reporting

The office is the primary source of information for rankings, guidebooks, mandatory reporting, and other external requests for data. It also provides administrators, faculty, and staff with data for research, assessment, and internal reporting.

Research and Analyses

Office personnel provide analyses that include benchmarking against peer schools, coordinating internal surveys, enrollment and retention analyses, and monitoring market and demographic trends.
