Feed Your Neighbor packed 32K meals!

Building community through service, our interfaith coalition of volunteers broke last year’s record of 24K meals.

  • Your heart has been fashioned to break with compassion and love for others.

On February 4th we surpassed last year’s record of 24K meals at Feed Your Neighbor, and when the Merrimack Valley Food Bank arrived to pick up our boxes we handed over 32K meals for their 100+ member agencies.

Thanks to all who supported this annual program – with time and resources – that provides food to pantries in February when their stock typically runs low. Now in our 6th year, we are the first group in Essex County MA that partners with The Outreach Program to hit 100K meals packed for our food-insecure neighbors!

The other component to Feed Your Neighbor is the community we are helping to build in the Merrimack Valley. Fifteen faith communities and three secular organizations came to work alongside over three dozen departments, clubs, and classes on our campus. Together we served our neighbors while building bridges across differences, at a time in which we are witnessing a growing intolerance and lack of respect for human dignity in our daily lives.

We believe that communities working together build mutual understanding, respect and solidarity among members of different faith traditions and philosophical convictions. This annual witness of faith and love strengthens the fabric of our society and offers hope to our youth for a brighter future characterized by compassion and care.

Our Statement of Solidarity for the Human Family, which we shared at the event will be online soon for you to add your signature if you were not able to sign and wish to be part of this movement.

Thank you again to those who contributed to our successful program!
