Thanksgiving Message 2018

Thanksgiving Message 2018

Nov. 22, 2018

This week we celebrate Thanksgiving, a time to gather with family and friends to celebrate our long-cherished tradition of giving thanks for life’s many blessings and to enjoy the comforts of home.

St. Ambrose, one of the fathers of the Church — and the bishop who helped our patron, St. Augustine, dedicate his life to God — reminds us: “No duty is more urgent than that of returning thanks.”

Together the Merrimack College community has created enormous success, and together as a community we will continue our forward momentum. I thank you all — faculty, staff, students, alumni, trustees, parents and friends — for your role in that success, and for helping to build our community into our greatest, truest strength.

I look forward to greeting you on our return, and hope that you find time to relax and renew your spirit as you prepare for the final few weeks of this semester and the start of the holiday season.

God bless.
