Pilgrimages
Pilgrimages are journeys to sacred places and are meant to lead to encounters with God. During pilgrimages, students embrace both a physical and spiritual journey.
Walking with Augustine
Every November, students travel to Villanova University and Philadelphia to immerse themselves in the Augustinian tradition. We spend time at our sister school, Villanova, as well as the Shrine of St. Rita and Old St. Augustine’s in South Philadelphia. This trip usually takes place the weekend before Thanksgiving.
Pellegrinaggio
Every Spring break, this pilgrimage follows the footsteps of St. Augustine in Italy, stopping at important moments in his life and the life of the Order of St. Augustine. This pilgrimage is part of a course. More information and cost can be found through Religion and Theological Studies.
Summer Pilgrimage
Each summer, students travel to a sacred site that often includes a significant walking experience. Recent past pilgrimages have included World Youth Day (Portugal, 2023), The Camino (Spain, 2024), and the Way of St. Francis and Jubilee (Assisi and Rome, 2025). Cost and details come out each fall.
