Position Description & Overview:
The Girard School of Business at Merrimack College is seeking applicants to serve as a co-instructor/assistant for two sections of an undergraduate level Business Statistics for the current semester, fall 2021. The adjunct needs to be qualified to teach Business Statistics to undergraduate business majors and be able to communicate clearly and effectively (e.g., communicating technical information to non-technical audiences, etc.), needs to be able to attend all scheduled class sessions on-campus, possibly provide office hours outside of class times, and may be asked to step-in to serve as the course instructor, as needed. All applicants must be available to teach in person. The Fall 2021 semester runs August 30th, 2021 until December 17th, 2021. Although the semester has started, the position will start as soon as possible.
MGT2120 Business Statistics course description:
Course: MGT2120 Business Statistics, 4 credits
Description: This is a required course for all Business Majors. This course provides an introduction to fundamental statistical principles and procedures. Topics include descriptive statistics, discrete and continuous probability distributions and sampling distributions, statistical inference and estimation, linear regression and correlation.
Master’s degree in business or related area, Ph.D. preferred. College teaching experience preferred, although related work experience may be considered
