Position Overview: The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Merrimack College invites applications for two full time, tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in the fall of 2020. The Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice at Merrimack College is a collegial department with a focus on crime and inequality. We offer a B.A. and an M.S. in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Areas of specialization are open, but we are especially interested in candidates whose teaching and research interests include juvenile justice, criminal justice policy, crime mapping, communities and crime, and/or criminal justice and mental health.

Qualifications: Required background includes a Ph.D. in Criminology, or a related field, at the time of appointment, teaching experience, and evidence of scholarly activity. Commitment to interdisciplinary teaching, collaboration, and supporting students in a growing criminology and criminal justice program is essential. Faculty are expected to teach in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. This position is subject to the successful completion of a criminal background check.
