Assistant Professor of Criminology and Criminal Justice
Position Overview: Merrimack College’s Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice invites applications for a position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in the fall of 2018. The Department of Criminology at Merrimack College is a small, collegial department with a focus on crime and inequality. We offer a BA and an MS in Criminology and Criminal Justice.
The successful candidate will teach required courses in Research Methodology and Statistics in Criminology and Criminal Justice. Areas of specialization are open, but we are especially interested in candidates whose teaching and research interests include domestic violence/intimate partner abuse, crime mapping, criminal justice policy; white collar crime; and terrorism and global crime. Required background includes a Ph.D. at time of appointment, teaching experience, and evidence of scholarly activity. Commitment to interdisciplinary teaching, collaboration, and supporting students in a growing criminology and criminal justice program is essential.
