Assistant Professor, Religious and Theological Studies

Position Overview: The Department of Religious and Theological Studies at Merrimack College invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of assistant professor, beginning August 2018. Candidate must have doctorate in Biblical Studies in hand. Ability to teach basic courses in Old Testament and New Testament necessary. Competence in Spirituality or Systematics is also desired. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of and commitment to the liberal arts and to the mission of the College, and the ability to contribute broadly to the Religious & Theological Studies program and general education curriculum. Responsibilities include teaching introductory-level courses. The standard load is three courses per semester, with advising and committee responsibilities. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellence in teaching and scholarship. Merrimack College is a private Roman Catholic college in the Augustinian tradition.
