Position Overview: The Department of Mathematics at Merrimack College invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin in August 2020. A Ph.D. or imminent completion of a Ph.D. in statistics, applied mathematics, or mathematics is required. The standard teaching load is three courses per semester (12 contact hours). Promise for continued and sustained scholarly activity and an interest in service to the college and to the broader community are also required. Preference will be given to candidates with a specialty in Statistics or Applied Mathematics. Candidates with experience in industry are encouraged to apply. Qualifications: Candidates must be committed to outstanding teaching and familiar with using technology in the classroom. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to teach students from a variety of disciplines, including majors in Mathematics, Data Science, Engineering, Health Sciences, Education, Business, and the Liberal Arts. Teaching with innovative pedagogies is encouraged.
