Position Overview: The Girard School of Business at Merrimack College seeks to fill the position of Assistant/Associate Professor, Strategy/Global Management (tenure track).
The Girard School of Business has approximately 1,200 undergraduate and graduate students and offers a BSBA degree with ten concentrations, MS degrees in Management and Accounting, as well as online MS degrees in Business Analytics and Accounting. Our MS in Management program was ranked 8th in the TFE Times 2018 list of best programs nationally.
Description: The successful candidate for this position will help to develop Global Management and Strategy courses and assist with the further development of the Global management concentration in the business school. They will be expected to deliver high-quality undergraduate and graduate instruction to students including both on campus and online modalities. Courses (3/3 teaching load) may also include: Strategic Analysis and Decision-Making, Global Management, Doing Business in Emerging Markets, International Entrepreneurship, Senior Seminar in International Business and potentially others. New courses may be proposed based upon the needs of the program and candidate expertise. The faculty member is expected to advise and mentor students, serve on faculty committees, and participate in recruitment efforts.
- PhD or terminal degree in Management with an emphasis in International Business, Global Management, Strategy or a related field from an accredited institution prior to appointment
- A strong record of, and continuing potential for, quality teaching
- Record of, and potential for, scholarly research in reputable peer-reviewed journals
- Pursuit of externally funded grants to support research is encouraged
- Familiarity with delivery of the X-Culture International Experiential learning program is considered an asset, as is prior international business experience
Service is required in accordance with tenure track criteria. Employment is contingent upon proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
