The Girard School of Business at Merrimack College seeks to fill the position of Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track) of Entrepreneurship starting fall 2020.
Position Overview: The successful candidate will help to develop entrepreneurship-related courses and assist with the creation of an entrepreneurship track in the business school. They will be expected to deliver high-quality undergraduate and graduate instruction to students including both on campus and online modalities. Courses (3/3 teaching load) may also include Marketing Strategy, Principles of Marketing, and potentially others. New courses may be proposed based upon the needs of the program and candidate expertise. Faculty members are expected to establish and maintain their own research agendas, which may include community engaged scholarship work. Pursuit of externally-funded grants to support research is encouraged. Service is required in accordance with tenure track criteria. The faculty member is expected to advise and mentor students, serve on faculty committees, and participate in recruitment efforts.
The Girard School of Business has approximately 1,200 undergraduate and graduate students and offers a BSBA degree with ten concentrations, MS degrees in Management and Accounting, as well as an online MS degree in Business Analytics. Our MS in Management program was ranked 8th in the TFE Times 2018 list of best programs nationally.
- PhD or terminal degree from an accredited university expected prior to appointment
- A strong record of, and continuing potential for, quality teaching
- Record of, and potential for, scholarly research in reputable peer-reviewed journals
- Alternative Qualification: Seasoned professional with a history of outstanding professional achievement.
