Position Overview & Responsibilities

Merrimack College’s Winston School of Education & Social Policy invites applications for the position of Director of Community Partnerships. This position will serve as the central coordinator for the Dean’s Office in the Winston School for all community (non-licensure) partnerships, facilitate two-way communication and engagement between such community partners and Winston academic programs, faculty and staff, and oversee the development, implementation, and expansion of all community-based field experiences, internships, and clinical residencies. This is a full-time 12-month administrative position.

Responsibilities include:

  • Oversee and coordinate Winston School community partnerships with faculty, staff and students.

  • Assist HDHS undergraduate students with field placement opportunities required for program completion.

  • Instructor of record for HDE 4850/HDE 4851 in the fall and spring semesters.

  • Secondary advisor for junior and seniors in the HDHS program, School Counseling 3+2, and MSW 3+2 ensuring applicable field experience requirements are met prior to enrolling in the graduate program.

  • Create professional development activities for undergraduate students to enhance their field experience and coordinate these activities with the O’Brien Center as appropriate (eg, badging opportunities; LinkedIn Learning; professional networking panel with alumni).

  • Represent the HDHS program at undergraduate recruitment events as necessary.

  • Coordinate early college programming and support for Abbott Lawrence Academy/Lawrence High School programs for the Winston School.

  • Support early college student academics and wellness.

  • Coordinate Early College programming with Lawrence High School partners as well partners across campus.

  • Support expansion of early college and dual enrollment programs.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree required.

  • Minimum experience of three (3) years working with community partners.

  • Teaching and/or administrative experience in higher education preferred.

  • Demonstrated organizational, technological, and collaboration skills within an educational or community-based institution.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.

  • Demonstrated ability to support a diverse student body, including students from historically underrepresented and underserved groups, as well as a variety of age ranges.

  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and manage a variety of projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required; database management experience is desirable.

  • Proficiency with Google Suite.
