Position Overview: The Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering is a non-tenure track academic appointment with teaching and mentoring responsibilities. The Lecturer devotes a significant proportion of their time to teaching and creating integrated professional “real world” experiences that enhance the comprehensive educational and professional training required of both undergraduate and graduate students at the College as they prepare for the demands of the contemporary workforce or pursuit of advanced degrees. The Lecturer also aids in matters involving program development, courses, assessment, advising, and accreditation of the Mechanical Engineering Program. This is limited term position with up to 16-credit hours of teaching responsibilities/semester.
Candidates must have an M.S. or Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or a related field. A minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, science, or technology is required, including at least 3 years in a leadership position. Some academic experience and a Professional Engineering License is preferred. Permanent US work authorization and/or US Citizenship is required.
