The School of Health Sciences at Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts is seeking an outstanding and highly motivated faculty member and program director to join our newly established online graduate programs in Healthcare Analytics and Health and Wellness Management. We invite applicants to become part of our online graduate programs in the dynamic School of Health Sciences, established in 2017. Applications for a non-tenure track (Assistant/Associate Clinical Professor and Program Director) faculty position beginning September 1, 2019 are now being requested.
The School of Health Sciences consists of diverse undergraduate and graduate academic programs, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, deep community partnerships, and multiple funded research initiatives from the National Institutes of Health, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, New Balance Foundation, Cummings Foundation, and more. The School of Health Sciences serves over 600 students majoring in six undergraduate programs including Bachelor of Science in Health Science, Public Health, Nursing, Nutritional Science, Exercise Science and Rehabilitation Science. The School also has rapidly expanding graduate programs with over 120 students in Health and Wellness Management, Exercise and Sport Science, Community Health Education and Athletic Training. In addition, the School of Health Sciences will be expanding its graduate offerings to include two online programs in Healthcare Analytics and Health and Wellness Management. O’Reilly Hall is the current home to the School of Health Sciences with construction underway to build a nursing center, which will include an expansive simulation and clinical education center.
Description: The School of Health Sciences will be launching two online graduate programs in the Fall 2019. The ideal candidate should have knowledge and experience in graduate and online education including curriculum development and teaching experience. In addition, the faculty member will provide leadership and administration for the online graduate programs.
Qualifications: Earned doctorate in public health, nutrition, epidemiology, healthcare management, or related discipline. Demonstrate and possess a strong record of teaching, curriculum development and student mentoring experience Knowledge in online graduate education Teaching-scholar who has a strong desire for an academic appointment focused on advancing knowledge through integrating teaching, scholarship, and service. Strong interest in directing and managing academic programs
