Is it possible to meet with your office before formally applying to or enrolling at Merrimack?
Yes, we would love to speak with you about the services that Merrimack provides, our campus climate and answer questions you have. Is your office available to answer questions during open houses and Admitted Student Days?
While we encourage you to introduce yourself during open houses and Admitted Student days, these events do not offer the privacy or time required for discussions about your needs. We encourage you to email or call 978-837-5278 to schedule an appointment with us.
Should I mail in my documentation with my admission packet?
No. We are only able to consider your documentation once you have been formally admitted and then deposited as a Merrimack student.
After I have paid my deposit, should documentation be sent directly to your office?
Yes, the sooner the better. The best way to submit your documentation is by completing the appropriate accommodations request form(s) on our website.
When would I be able to set up an intake meeting?
Most meetings for incoming, newly deposited students, occur over the summer. Once we have your Academic Accommodation Request and documentation we will reach out to schedule an appointment. Typically, these meetings begin in June and can be scheduled up through the first few weeks of fall semester.
Is orientation a good time to arrange a meeting?
Orientation is not an ideal time to meet, unless you plan to be in town a day before or after the event. It’s best to meet during the summer months or by phone or Skype if you are not local.
Will Merrimack be able to accommodate my very specific needs?
Merrimack prides itself on its student-centered approach. The best way to determine if your needs can be reasonably accommodated is to start speaking with us early on. This gives you, and us, an opportunity to consider your needs closely and determine what resources may be reasonable and necessary. This conversation will help to determine reasonable accommodations and limitations based on the transition from high school to college.
