INTRODUCTION TO MEDIA

COM 2401

This course focuses on the basic principles of mass communication and its historical development. Issues explored include media access, media ethics, media effects, and current trends in the growth of digital and wireless mass communication technologies.

SPORT MARKETING

SPM 305

Students will explore unique aspects of the sport industry, marketing to sport consumers and consider the unique challenges facing sport marketers. Topics include promotion, event sponsorship, consumer behavior and brand management. 

LEGAL ENVIRONMENT OF SPORTS

SPM 3500

This course examines the legal issues that arise from the areas of amateur and professional sports, including constitutions and legal enactments, policy making in sport management, case law related to administrative, constitutional, contract, labor and product liability.
