The Department of Health Sciences offers six different bachelor of science degrees in a wide range of disciplines.
Merrimack College has transitioned its current bachelor of science in athletic training to a master of science in athletic training. The athletic training program allows you to receive both a bachelor of science — in exercise science or health science — and a master of science in athletic training in just five years.
You will study the science of exercise and human movement and the role of physical activity and exercise in health and disease.
You will focus on human biology and prepare for a career in diverse areas of the health industry.
You will learn about the important role that nutrition plays in human health and wellness.
You will analyze the effect of genetics, personal choice and the environment on health in order to develop programs that protect the health of families and communities.
You will study human movement for the improvement in physical function and promotion of health and well-being.
