Hot Topics of Discussion
In spring 2017, the Honors Program launched a new initiative — a series of faculty- and alumni-hosted discussions called “Fireside Chats” — to great success.
In addition to providing a venue for informal interaction between faculty and honors students, and sometimes even alumni, the Fireside Chats spark conversation about world events and promote student participation in our living-learning community.
The chats are held Sunday evenings at 7 p.m. in the Sanctuary coffeehouse at North Residential Village. Although these events are targeted to upperclassmen residents living in North Residential Village, any Honors student may attend as space permits. Prior registration is mandatory.

Hot Tips
- Be sure that you are available to attend on the posted date and time before registering for the specific chat.
- Priority is given to upperclassmen Honors students living in North Residential Village. Beyond this, all events are first-come, first-served, so early signup is encouraged.
- Please register via Google Forms.
