Applicants for the M.S. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling must have a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree.
You must also submit the following as part of the application process:
- Official transcripts
- Three letters of reference, including at least one non-academic letter that addresses readiness for work in a therapeutic setting
- Personal Statement
- Resume, including any clinical work experience
Applicants deemed appropriate for the program based on the strength of their admission materials will be granted an interview, an important and required part of the application process. Final decisions are made after the interview and after a final review of application materials.
Prerequisite coursework can be taken at any accredited college/university, including Merrimack College. It must be completed with a grade B or better prior to enrolling in graduate classes.
