Welcome from Dean Campbell-Kyureghyan
Welcome to the School of Science and Engineering at Merrimack College! The world of science and technology is changing rapidly, and we are continually updating our programs to make sure that our students are receiving an education that will provide you with the knowledge and skills needed for the entirety of your career.
The faculty and staff at Merrimack are fully committed to helping each student succeed. We provide our students with an outstanding science and engineering education in an environment in which faculty, staff and fellow students care about one another and about the challenges in an increasingly connected and complex world. Developing into a well-rounded individual, with both technical skills and the knowledge of how to apply them to make the world a better place, is the hallmark of a Merrimack education. This commitment is reflected in the college motto “through knowledge to wisdom.”
The school offers programs in biochemistry, biology, chemistry, civil engineering, computer engineering, computer science, data science, electrical engineering, environmental science, mathematics, mechanical engineering and physics. Master’s degrees in civil engineering, data science, engineering management and mechanical engineering are also available, with more on the way, including exciting international programs. Our faculty are active in research, with innovative ideas that lead to funded programs and world-class publications. Students are actively encouraged to participate in research, starting as undergraduates.
As the new dean, I am excited about the enthusiasm I see among the students, staff and faculty, and the drive to ensure that Merrimack continues to move forward into the ever-changing future. I invite you to explore the opportunities for learning, research and service at Merrimack, and I’m looking forward to seeing you on campus this year. This will be another great year in the School of Science and Engineering. Please join us to make it even more extraordinary.
