Why Study Chemistry and Biochemistry?
Chemistry is the study of matter — anything that has mass and occupies space — and the changes and interactions it undergoes. Biochemistry studies the chemistry of life processes, exploring how life works at the chemical level.
As a chemistry and biochemistry major, you will learn the theoretical and practical bases of chemical principles while performing laboratory work. This will prepare you for a job in the chemical industry or for advanced studies in chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering, medicine, dentistry, veterinary science or other related subjects.
