Admission Requirements

Admission Requirements

Please review the following pre-requisites for the Master of Science in Civil Engineering. 

A Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering or a Bachelor of Technology degree in civil engineering from an accredited college or university;

– or –

A Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Technology in a different engineering major (i.e. environmental engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, engineering management) with at least two of the following required design courses as pre-requisites:

  • Structural Analysis and Design
  • Environmental Engineering
  • Geotechnical or Foundation Engineering
  • Transportation Engineering

A bachelor’s degree in a closely related field will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Prerequisite coursework can be taken at any accredited college/university, including Merrimack College. It must be completed with a grade B or better prior to enrolling in graduate classes.
