What is a Dual Degree?
A dual degree, also called a dual master’s degree, joint degree, double degree, concurrent master’s degree, combined degree, conjoint degree, simultaneous degree program, plus-one or plus-two degree program, offers you the opportunity to earn an accelerated master’s degree - usually saving you time and money. A dual degree program is not the same as a double major where you are studying two related major fields to earn a single degree like a B.A. or B.S. With a dual degree, you’ll do graduate-level coursework while taking undergraduate classes. You’ll earn a bachelor’s degree and then a master’s degree, usually within five or six years.
